Council tenants in Wales have voted against transferring their local authority's housing stock to a new, not-for-profit community housing mutual.

Caerphilly Council proposed to transfer its homes to Castell Mynydd, but tenants voted 65.2% against the plan in a secret ballot. Transfer could only go ahead if the council's proposals won a majority in the ballot, which ran from 21 January to 17 February, following a council consultation
