Adrian Jones, Nottingham City Council's director of planning, transport and highways, is leaving after 30 years with the authority. And Lancashire CC has appointed a new executive director for children and young people – Helen Denton. Currently the operations director for Serco's Education and Children's Services Group, she takes over from Pat Jefferson, who retires on August 1.
