A Westminster City Council-backed initiative to help recovering drug addicts through military style exercise, has seen four participants complete the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge.
The council linked up with British Military Fitness, run by former and serving armed forces members, and health and social care specialists Turning point, to help participants. David Parkinson, a substance misuse worker for Turning Point, says he noticed a ‘huge decrease' in hard drug use since service users began attending BMF training sessions.
