At least 26,000 council staff are enjoying the perks of working from home, according to a new report from Socitm Insight. The report, Modern public services: flexible working, shows how flexi-time, hot-desking and working from home are all becoming more popular in local government. ‘The potential to provide better services to the community, make savings, and improve the quality of working life add up to a case that is too compelling to ignore,' said Socitm (Society of Council IT managers) associate, Christopher Head.
