Trial dates have been fixed for two senior officers charged as part of an investigation into Liverpool City Council corruption.

The council's former head of regeneration Nick Kavanagh, who pleaded not guilty to two counts of accepting a bribe, is expected to stand trial for around three months from February while Liverpool's former assistant director of highways and planning, Andrew Barr, 51, is due to stand trial for 15 weeks from October.
