Lovers of all things scrumdiddlyumptious and tales of the unexpected descended on Aylesbury Vale last weekend for a council-organised festival to celebrate the life of celebrated author Roald Dahl.

The theme of this year's festival was The Twits (please insert your own joke here – Ed) and so the streets of Aylesbury Vale were lined with beards, Roly Poly birds and Muggle-wump monkeys.
