Unison elects new general secretary

Andrea Egan has been elected as the new general secretary of public sector union Unison.

Andrea Egan has been elected as the new general secretary of public sector union Unison.

She secured 58,579 (59.82%) votes to incumbent Christina McAnea's 39,353 (40.18%). McAnea has served as the union's general secretary since 2021.
