Council leaders are sending a clear message of unity to the leaders of the main political parties on the need to reconfigure adult social care services.
The joint-statement to PM David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband, which comes ahead of Andrew Dilnot's commission into funding of care and support, urges politicians to forge a national consensus in line with the local one.
