University launches shared services course

The UK's first postgraduate qualification in public sector shared services has been created at a university in Kent, on the back of spending cuts.

The shared services programme at Canterbury Christ Church University, is for public sector managers ‘wanting to study the effective design and management of shared service initiatives within their sector.' The six month, part-time course, will provide the knowledge and skills to initiate and develop shared service projects, with the potential to save employers thousands of pounds, says the university.
