The devolution of power from Whitehall to local government is a vote winner, according to a new survey from Ernst and Young. The survey found 54% of those questioned supported the transfer of some services from central to local government, while only 12% would oppose the move. ‘A more results-focused culture will deliver better services,' said Ernst and Young UK's government services partner, Craig Baker. ‘Suppliers will focus on giving people what they want, where and when.'
