Unison, the largest local government trade union, has condemned government plans to freeze the minimum wage for under 21's.

Unison, the largest local government trade union, has condemned government plans to freeze the minimum wage for under 21's and increase the rate for adults by just 11p an hour.

Unison general secretary, Dave Prentis, said young people deserved a ‘fair day's pay for a fair day's work, and should not be left vulnerable to exploitation'.
