One of the UK's biggest unions representing the not-for-profit sector has warned of a ‘wave of unrest' over contract insecurity, terms and conditions. Unite joint general secretary, Tony Woodley, said: ‘The voluntary sector is growing rapidly but at the expense of standards and terms and conditions. We are predicting a wave of industrial unrest unless some of the perennial problems are tackled this year.'
