The rejection by West Midlands mayor Richard Parker of Warwickshire joining his combined authority puts the county at risk of becoming a devolution island, a chief executive has warned.

Chief executive of Nuneaton and Bedworth BC in Warwickshire, Tom Shardlow, told The MJ: ‘It's certainly a risk, and it would be a shame.'
