Council chiefs and local government experts met with senior officials from the National Audit Office (NAO) on 24 September for the second meeting of the Local Government Reference Panel.
Chaired by Local Government Association chief executive, Carolyn Downs, The MJ understands the panel discussed the draft local government audit Bill and upcoming NAO reports into financial sustainability at local authorities, as well as a debate on funding for local transport schemes.
