Former Croydon LBC chief executive David Wechsler returns to the town hall next week to become the 40th freeman of the borough. A special meeting is being held on Monday at 6.30pm, when the accolade will be awarded to Mr Wechsler. ‘The occasion is a rare opportunity to admit a former member of staff to the ranks of freeman,' said council leader Mike Fisher.
