Council leaders in Wales have renewed their call on the Welsh Assembly Government to let them keep the £38m efficiecy savings they are expected to hand back.
Members of the Welsh Local Government Association whave said the move is needed to help council tax payers affected by the downturn. WLGA leader, Cllr John Davies said: ‘The most radical move that the Welsh Assembly Government can make is to help local government to set lower levels of council tax in Wales.'
