The Welsh Government has dug into its reserves to provide councils with £22m to keep council tax benefit at pre-cut levels for 2013-14.

The Welsh Government has dug into its reserves to provide councils with £22m to keep council tax benefit at pre-cut levels for 2013-14.

Making the announcement on 17 January, local government minister, Carl Sargeant, said the move was made possible by ‘careful financial management' across the devolved administration.
