Manchester City Council's chief executive, Sir Howard Bernstein, is to advise Westminster City Council on how to ensure the future success of London's West End.
Sir Howard has been named as the chair of the West End Commission, which will consider ways to both improve London's dynamic shopping district and overcome challenges faced by the area's residents.
