ABN AMRO Mellon has been appointed as new global custodian of Westminster City Council’s pension fund. The company has taken over managing the fund from Henderson Global Investors and Aberdeen Asset Management, following a restructure. Lehman Brothers International (Europe) will manage the fund’s transition to the new custodian. Five new specialist fund managers have also been appointed. ‘The strategy behind the change was driven by a desire to see improved performance for the benefit of the fund’s members,’ said acting director of finance, Caroline Holland.
