The last few weeks have been like a breath of fresh air and for a while I couldn't think why. Then I realised. No Brexit news.
The politicians stopped running round in circles like dogs sniffing backsides so they could focus on something even more guaranteed to make us comatose – the local elections. Trouble is now the elections are out the way the politicians are back on their hind legs just where they were a month ago as if they haven't learned a thing.
