The so-called ‘coalition’ has hit its high watermark. From now on, it’s downhill all the way. I give ‘em till next Christmas. It’ll fall apart, Cameron will have to call an election which he’ll lose, Labour will be back, Cameron will be just some footnote in history.I mean, look at the facts. The economy’s taking a nosedive. Taxes are up, inflation is up, jobs are down. We’re heading into another recession, and we haven’t even got out of the last one yet. And there’s these public spending cuts, all these lollipop ladies getting the boot, and you can’t get Agatha Christie out the library anymore ‘cos the library’s become a kebab shop. The only reason the economy picked up last year was ‘cos Gordon Brown shoveled buckets of money into housing. Now that’s gone and they’re cutting back on public spending – about time in my view but they won’t get thanked for it – and the economy which, like a drug addict on crack cocaine, has been hooked for the last 10 years on public spending is having to be weaned off its addiction.Trouble is, we’re realizing that there isn’t much to the British economy apart from bankers and public spending, and if we’re cutting the latter, then we need the greedy little bankers more than ever with their gated towers and fat bonuses, even though they make us puke…Time to clear off to Spain, though it’s even worse there.Maybe there’s a nice little seaside number near Beijing – is that by the sea?And another thing…
