You can tell there’s local elections looming, ‘cos the Labour Party has suddenly discovered the middle classes.I guess some nerd working for Ed Miliband has put a few figures into the computer and discovered that if Labour continues to bang on only about the unemployed, layabouts on benefits, and factory workers in the Midlands, it won’t get re-elected this side of 2150, because if people on benefits can’t even get out of bed to find a job, they certainly won’t bother to vote.So now Labour stands for anyone who isn’t a merchant banker, which means 98% of us and anyone who pays shedloads of tax and gets absolutely sod-all from the Government, which is 70% of us.And apparently, the reason why we all borrowed up to the hilt until the banking system went pearshaped three years ago was ‘cos we were all poor and having to subsidise our paltry incomes by taking out loans we couldn’t afford. So it’s not our fault, it’s down to governments for taxing us, for the bankers for milking the system dry, and letting us taxpayers pick up the pieces, for layabouts on benefits living high on the hog on our money, for Chinese factories adding insult to injury by taking our jobs and then pushing up the price of oil.Blimey, Labour’s pinched all my ideas… and another thing...
