... discovers business rates It's a right tragedy about HMV and Blockbusters going down the tubes. They were great stores, though I never bought anything since I got it all online free, like, you know, from those websites, moviesforsodall.com or whatever. But HMV and Blockbusters looked like a right laugh whenever I passed them, and I'd drop in just to flick through the DVDs, not to buy anything but to find out what I could get, like, free from those websites, know what I mean? And now those shops aren't there anymore and suddenly I'm thinking maybe they'll all become kebab houses. And then I'm thinking again, hang on, all these shops had to pay rates and yet all these online sites and Amarcord or whatever it's called, they don't pay jack all since their only building is a shed off the M62, and on top of that, they pay all their taxes in Montenegro. And now the penny's dropped… it's okay for me to handle the odd cash payment, if you get my drift, ‘cos I'm British, but I'm gutted that these bleeding Internet cowboys are playing the same game. It's the last time they'll get a brass farthing out of me, not that I ever paid anything, but you know what I mean, I'm off to HMV, sod it, they're not there anymore…
