.. ON SUBSIDISING OLD PEOPLE I'm getting fed up with the way this Government keeps sucking up to old people. It's bleeding clear why they do it. It's ‘cos old people have got all the time in the world to vote, whereas young people can't be bothered, which it's daft, ‘cos then they just get ignored. I mean, if you're an MP and you've got all these old people, you can't afford to p**s them off, else they'll start voting for the opposition. So when it comes to cutting welfare benefits, obviously, you make sure the wrinklies aren't affected, so they can carry on spending their dosh on cruises and Saga holidays and you shovel wads of cash in their direction during winter for ‘fuel', ie, more money for cruises. And just in case they decide their homes are too bleeding hot, what with all this subsidised heating, and they want to take a trip to the other end of the country, like Cornwall or the Highlands, then the Government gives them free travel so they can trundle round the country at taxpayers' expense while the rest of us are having to pay £400 for a one-way trip to Oldham. And then look at the NHS. It's stuffed with old people, so what does the Government do? It says all public spending must be cut, EXCEPT the NHS. I mean, they'll be paying for pensioners' second homes in France next… And another thing...
