…on Christmas parking charges
Have you noticed how councils are suddenly turning into Santa Claus and dropping their parking charges over Christmas? Don't expect me to be grateful. It's a pointless public relations bleeding gesture to show they care when the rest of the year their hearts are flinty hard. Having to pay parking charges is hardly likely to put shoppers off when they're already in line to spend several hundred smackers on presents.
