Everyone keeps telling us how important it is that we lay out the red carpet for these foreign millionaires so that they can buy up central London instead of keeping their cash under the bed but it beats me what we get out of it apart from fat commissions for estate agents.
There's a bit of piddly stamp duty for them to pay which is loose change for them but most of these rich foreigners don't even pay council tax as their swanky £5m apartments are empty.
