I've just got my council tax statement and frankly I can't make head or tail of it except there's a lot of noughts and the council still seems to be employing the same amount of pen pushers as it did last year.
I thought they were supposed to be cutting public spending. In my book, cutting something means reducing it in size whereas as far as I can see the council is spending the same as last year which was already about 50% too high.
