Using system-wide reform to put Bucks families first

Buckinghamshire Council is delivering system-wide reform through locality teams, Family Hubs and a partnership-led Families First approach, as Errol Albert explains.

Much has been said about the pressures on children's services nationally. Rising demand and increasing complexity of case work are the key challenges, alongside shrinking budgets and the pressing need for earlier, more effective intervention and greater partner collaboration. These are the issues we are all facing and with deadlines for cross-cutting Government reforms looming, the time for action is now.

Here at Buckinghamshire Council, we are responding to these challenges and in conversation with our partners, seeking opportunities to intervene earlier, work more collaboratively and build resilience within our communities.
