Wigan MBC's chief executive is the new chair of the Chief Executives Task Group. Joyce Redfearn has taken up the post on local government's lead officer body to drive improvement and efficiency, following the retirement of former Worcestershire CC's chief executive, Rob Sykes. ‘I am determined the chief executive's task group, working with its partners, will provide a real drive to the improvement and efficiency agenda, as well as representing local authorities' interests at a national level,' said Ms Redfearn.
