While we have seen a steady stream of stories about the 2012 Olympic Games land on our desks over the last few months from London boroughs, we have not seen too many from outside the south-east of England.
So, imagine our surprise when we heard that Scarborough BC was teaming up with Hackney LBC for a series of sporting and cultural events in the run-up to next year's games.
