Wirral interim appointed to top position

Wirral MBC’s interim chief executive, Jim Wilkie, looks set to take up the post on a permanent basis, following a council meeting later this month.

Wirral MBC's interim chief executive, Jim Wilkie, looks set to take up the post on a permanent basis, following a council meeting later this month.

Mr Wilkie, who was deputy chief executive before taking over as interim when the-then chief executive, Steve Maddox, retired in September 2010, has been recommended as the council's new top officer after a selection process which attracted 25 applications. His appointment will now go before full council on 18 April.
