Confidential personal information was dumped in a skip by Wolverhampton City Council, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has announced.

The ICO became aware of the breach of the Data Protection Act in October last year, when a local newspaper reported council documents containing dates of birth, bank details, employment records and medical information was dumped in a skip.
