Worcester City Council has slammed claims by Labour MP, Michael Foster, that its job evaluation plans would waste taxpayer's money. Foster said proposals to spend £60,000 on the evaluation were ‘a clear abuse of council taxpayers money'. The council's chief executive, David Wareing said no final decisions had been made, but had included possible costs into the council's overall budget for 2007/08. ‘We are being open and transparent, and it is regrettable that Mr Foster is criticising it for us,' he said.
