Worcester City Council has lobbied the DCLG over its funding deal, with a warning that it is facing significant pressures. The council said: ‘The Local Government Finance Settlement has reduced our net budget – like-for-like – to £12.84m as a result of the cut in formula grant funding. This does not address the very significant cost pressures facing the council'.
