For obvious reasons, quirky and amusing stories have been a little thin on the ground this week, but Diary was rather impressed by Camden LBC's innovative use of text messaging during last week's riots.
The London borough sent out 843 text messages to various youngsters, telling them to stay out of trouble, which earned it a front-page story in last week's Camden New Journal.
