Norfolk CC and Sefton MBC have become the latest councils to announce they will have to lose thousands of jobs in order to balance the books.
The deputy leader of Norfolk CC, Cllr Ian Mackie, said the county council was planning to lose more than 3,000 jobs between now and 2014. Norfolk CC launched a public consultation today on plans to make the local authority more streamlined.
