Councils making extensive use of third sector partners to deliver local service targets have been invited to attend a Whitehall workshop designed to improve results. Local government's Im-provement and Development Agency, in collaboration with the Cabinet Office, has invited councils to participate in a free programme of events on 12 February. Seminars will explore how councils, working with charities and other third sector partners, can meet the two key local area agreement (LAA) targets – improving volunteering rates and creating a thriving local third sector to deliver public services. Results from the workshop will be published by the IDeA. Officials interested in attending should contact Zoe Swanson at the IDeA, on 020 7296 8886.
