Local government minister, Bob Neill, delivered a keynote address at the inaugural MJ Future Forum on 24-25 May.
In an admirably-candid speech, Mr Neill warned council chief executives – who gathered at Walton Hall, Warwickshire, to debate the spending environment – there was no ‘wriggle room' over controversial local government funding decisions, such as the cut to council tax benefit.
