The wrong Button!

Children's television shows from yesteryear, are safe in local government hands.

It's not often you get to combine writing about local government and children's television programmes from the 1980s, so our heartfelt thanks goes to the trading standards department of East Riding of Yorkshire Council for making this dream come true.

Last week, Ian Allen, the creator of cult classic Button Moon won a copyright case against a businessman, Robert Redshaw, who was selling T-shirts and mugs with designs very similar to those featured in the children's television series.
