The Government's proposed children and young people's health outcomes strategy does not reflect local governments' new public health responsibilities, council bosses have warned.

In its response to the Department of Health's consultation on the strategy, the Local Government Association (LGA) said councils had a strong track record in commissioning a complex mix of services and working in partnership.
