Battle rages for multi-year settlement

A battle for a multi-year settlement for local government is unfolding ahead of the Government’s Spending Review.

The MJ understands the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has been pushing for a three-year review, an ambition shared by the Local Government Association (LGA) and Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).
