COSLA kicks off funding formula review

A review of funding for Scottish councils has been launched following concerns around the current formula.

A meeting at the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) at the end last month agreed to the review, including examination of the balance of funding for the country’s councils.

It will look at the ‘fiscal framework’ to make sure it is sustainable and the structure of the budget, including ring-fencing.
