Chief departure has 'no link' to joint working move

Allerdale BC has insisted there is ‘no link’ between chief executive Ian Frost’s departure and a decision to establish joint working with neighbouring Copeland BC.

Mr Frost left the council this week ‘by mutual consent’ after more than six years in charge and, subject to a decision of the full council next month, corporate director Andrew Seekings will become interim chief executive for the next year.
