Chiefs reject 'disappointing' pay deal

The trade union for council chief executives has rejected the ‘very disappointing’ pay offer to their members.

In a statement, the Association of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers (ALACE) complained the 1% offer for 2018/19 only was inferior to the local government pay deal agreed with the rest of the sector, worth 2% a year for two years.
