Council chief calls for reform of emergency flood funds

A council hit by heavy flooding has called for the system of Government support to be overhauled.

Although North Yorkshire CC has benefited from Government funds to aid recovery efforts, along with authorities in Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, chief executive Richard Flinton revealed concerns to The MJ that this may not be the case in the future.
