Wandsworth LBC is to use legislation introduced almost 20 years ago in an attempt to fend off government funding cuts.

The Conservative-run London borough is set to approach ministers under the Sustainable Communities Act 2007, which enables councils to ask the Government to change or remove laws that stop them from helping their communities.
