DToC figures due to social care on the rise

Winter pressures have been blamed for a rise in the number of delayed transfers of care (DToC) due to social services.

The number of delays attributable to social care increased by 6% in January, reaching 41,424 compared to 38,934 in December, according to newly-published figures from NHS Digital.
