EXCLUSIVE: Cabinet Office drive after Redcar attack

The Cabinet Office is attempting to gain a better understanding of cybersecurity in councils in the wake of an attack on Redcar & Cleveland BC.

Last month’s attack on Redcar & Cleveland, which is believed to have not paid the ransom, highlighted the increasing importance of cyber security and resilience, with the Cabinet Office describing the ability to recover from offline backups as ‘vital’.
