Failing to act on audit invites intervention, says Whiteman

A failure to act on the Redmond review could lead to more Government intervention, finance chief Rob Whiteman has told MPs.

The chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) claimed local government ‘over-reacted’ to the audit review’s plan for an Office of Local Authority Regulation (OLAR).
