Fifty councils fail to hit housing targets

Fifty councils are facing the Government’s most severe planning penalty after failing to meet housing delivery targets.

A ‘presumption in favour of sustainable development’ will be imposed upon any local authority that fails to deliver at least 75% of its target number of housing over the past three years.
